Hi, I’m Mark, the founder of Hōkū Canine Co.

I’ve always loved animals. from dogs and cats to birds, lizards, mice, and just about everything in between. I’ve been dog sitting and caring for animals for many years, and that lifelong love of pets is what led me to create Hōkū Canine Co.

I worked at Tricked Out Pup in Boston, where I received hands-on training and gained experience with professional dog care, client communication, and daily pet care operations.

The name Hōkū comes from the dog I grew up with, a sweet Lab and Golden Retriever mix who meant the world to me. She is a big part of why I see dogs not just as pets, but as family.
